BIG SISTERS LOWER MAINLAND

A documentary-style film following the nine-year journey of Rafaela and her Big Sister, Lynn.

When they first met, Rafaela was quiet, shy, and unsure of herself. Over the years, Lynn helped Rafaela see that her personality and dreams were enough to pursue big goals, including becoming a lawyer, just like her.

We filmed the story with intimacy and attention to the small gestures, letting the quiet bond between mentor and mentee carry the narrative. It’s a story about guidance, growth, and the ways a caring presence can help a young person step into the full potential of their own life.
